Q: What is included in the box when I purchase a MITOX chainsaw?

A: In the box you will receive the power unit, guide bar, saw chain, bar protector, spark plug spanner and a user manual.

Q: Do I need to use any particular oil to lubricate the chain?

A: A high viscosity oil should be used to lubricate the chain on a petrol saw chain due to its high operating speed. Click here to view the Mitox range of Chain Oils.

Q: What fuel mixture ratio should I use in a Mitox petrol chainsaw?

A: The recommended mixing ratio for the current range of MITOX chainsaws is 40:1.

Q: How do I mix the fuel to use in a Mitox petrol chainsaw?

A: The most effective way to mix the fuel and oil mixture is using a MITOX fuel mixing bottle. Simply pour 1 litre of fresh fuel through a filtered funnel into the mixing bottle and then add two-stroke engine oil up to the required ratio marked on the bottle, securely fasten the cap and shake to ensure it is fully mixed.

Q: How do I know when I need to sharpen the saw chain?

A: The chain will need to be sharpened when the sawdust becomes powder like, the cutting path is no longer straight, you see an increase in fuel consumption, extra force is required to cut or you experience an increase of vibration from the chainsaw.
