When you need to find a machine suitable for clearing larger areas of thick grass or overgrown weeds, a brushcutter with bike handles should be considered as this allows you to cut through the material with a swaying motion which enables you to cover a wider area in a shorter length of time. 

Brushcutters with the larger most powerful engines will cut through thicker material more effectively, however, if you are only cutting through lighter vegetation or the weight of the machine is a factor when choosing your new brushcutter, a model with a smaller engine may be more suitable.
